I've been a certified life coach for 4 years now but I've been coaching my whole professional and personal life in some capacity.
My training has brought me across many psychology philosophies and some of my favorite are among the Japanese philosophies. Kintsugi was truly a transformative art form for me, leading me to apply the theories in my own life.
I'd thought I'd share what I've learned with you. As I've told my clients, when you start to focus and improve on one part of your life, others parts will begin to fall into place. So here are 8 lessons I've learned from sitting down in a recent Kintsugi session at home:
You as a person with all your flaws and cracks are worthy enough not to be thrown away number enter.
Patience, patience, patience.
All parts of broken pieces are essential to healing.
Even the tiniest fragments have a part to play in the healing and can be used to create a whole.
Sometimes the pieces need to be held in place for a little while before you move on to the next piece to truly heal.
Do not oversaturate your healing with methods. Keep it simple and build on your healing regime if necessary.
There will be some gaps as pieces may be lost. That's okay. On our journey, some people or opportunities will disappear. When this happens, fill the gaps with more love, more grace and more patience along with open-mindedness.Â
Once you feel you are at a place of stability, acceptance and calm, sit with it. Like the pieces stuck together with gold, leave the piece to dry fully. Don't touch it don't try to adjust just accept and sit with it.
I hope this has been a source of inspiration or positivity in your day. You are loved, you are resilient and you are enough. Fill the gaps with gold to complete YOUR whole.
